San Francisco artist Lindsey White plays with the language of comedy and site-gags in her work. She created this limited-edition t-shirt based on a series of photographs made in collaboration with stand-up comedian, magician, and actor Ron Lynch (Portlandia, Bob’s Burgers) for her 2015 exhibition at the Contemporary Jewish Museum. Lynch, one of White’s longtime heroes, is pictured here using magic wands to “elevate” a plastic shopping bag.
