San Francisco-based artist Mitzi Pederson creates delicate, minimal sculptures out of everyday materials. She has had solo exhibition at venues including White Columns (2006) and Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery (2007) in New York and Hammer Projects in Los Angeles (2008). Prominent group exhibitions of her work include the 2008 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and the 2006 SECA Art Award exhibition at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). She received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University (1999) and her MFA from California College of the Arts (2004). Represented in San Francisco by Ratio 3 gallery, Pederson is a current member of Minnesota Street Project’s Studio Program.
