Lindsey White

Artist and educator Lindsey White takes inspiration from the realm of performance, especially comedy and magic. She has had exhibitions at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (as winner of SFMOMA’s 2017 SECA Art Award), the Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco International Airport, San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery, Museum Bärengasse in Zurich, ACME in Los Angeles, and Sydhavn Station in Copenhagen, among other notable venues. Her residency awards include Headlands Center for the Arts and Kala Art Institute in California. White is also cofounder of the para-curatorial project known as Will Brown. She is currently an assistant professor and chair of the photography department  at San Francisco Art Institute.
